Long Time No See

It's been a long time since I've been here... and no, I'm not starting my crafting again.  I just wanted to make sure you guys know I'm still alive, lol.

I'm still in college and working on my bachelor's degree... right now I'm in my last two weeks for this semester.  Yay, exam week!  I'm in three honor societies now and been on the dean's list three times as well.  So, overall, school is going pretty good.

Health wise I'm doing horribly.  We needed up getting me a transport chair, so my boyfriend can push me around when we go out.  I can't stand or walking very long... and doing most normal activities like cleaning, getting dressed, taking a shower, cooking easy meals are very challenging for me.  It's been causing a lot of depression, stress, and anxiety to the point of driving me insane and causing suicidal thoughts (don't worry!  I would never do that).

Luckily for me, a year and a half ago my dad got me an iPhone as a gift for doing well in school and getting into the honor societies.  As soon as I got my new phone I found Voltage Inc games... they are otome/visual novel games and they helped with the depression and stress a lot!  If it wasn't for these games, I don't know how I would be able to enjoy my life again.  I don't have a lot of energy to play "normal" console games or read long books... so these are great.

With the new enjoyment in my life and wanting to write again, last summer I started scripting a storyline for my own game.  We have 2 programmers, 2 concept artists (one of them being me), 1 sprite artist, 2 background artists, 1 writer/project director (me), and an editor/co-writer/art editor (my boyfriend... who is one of the background artists).  I think I got everyone.  If you would like to follow our progress, you can do so at these links:

Achievement: College

I started going to college this summer after not being in school for nine years and it would be at the end of that semester that I started having breathing issues.  It would be on the first day of my second semester that I had the biopsy of the main nodule on my thyroid.  I would be my fourth week of classes to find out I have cancer and my 6th week to get the gland removed.  I would become behind in two of my three classes and have to play catch up with them.  I struggled staying awake and having the energy to do my classwork, but I never gave up even though I felt like my world was falling apart.  I was determined to not allow my cancer to take my future away from me... my dreams and my passion.  I held on tight to those with both hands as I dealt with my cancer and as I continue to deal with it and the aftermath.  I was able to pass my classes while dealing with all of that, the physical, and emotional pains.

I checked my school email account yesterday to see if I got my semester GPA, my overall GPA, and my academic standing... and I was shocked to what I found.  I got on the Dean's List and mind you, I've never been on the honor roll when I was in school, but to get this while dealing with cancer... it just... wow.  To me, this has taught me that even though you are ill, you can still achieve things, great things, and don't let someone tell you otherwise.

My next goal is to get on the Dean's List again next semester!

Hi Everyone

It's been a long time since I posted in here... I'm sorry for that. Umm... This year on September 17th, I found out I have Thyroid Cancer and had surgery on October 3rd. I don't know if I'm fully cancer free yet. I also made a blog about my journey starting from the very beginning at Butterfree Effect and also posted a youtube video My Dealing with Thyroid Cancer.
I have not been able to work for two and half months and when I do go back to work I can only work two days a week, so at max I can only work 16 hours per week. Since I have to pay for insurance... I don't bring anything home to pay bills. So... if anyone is willing to donate or at least pass around my links to my funds that would be great. Thank you to everyone that donates or shares the links. Also thank you for reading! My GoFundMe and my GiveFoward
